At this stage, the countertops are usually placed in the designated area but not yet fully installed. This allows our installers to check the fit and make any necessary adjustments before securing them in place.

The actual installation of countertops, by Pacific Kitchens, requires specialized skills and equipment to ensure that everything fits correctly and is properly secured.

Key steps during installation include:

• Removal of Existing Countertops: If you're replacing old countertops, our installer will carefully remove the old surfaces, taking care to protect your cabinets and surrounding areas.
• Placement of Countertops: Our installers place the countertop slabs into position, ensuring they fit properly with the wall, cabinetry, and appliances. This is a critical step for ensuring a seamless look.
• Securing the Countertop: Once the countertops are in place, they are secured to the cabinetry with strong adhesives or fasteners, ensuring they remain stable and level.
• Seam Placement: For larger countertops that require more than one slab, our installer will carefully align the seams so that they are as inconspicuous as possible. This requires skill to ensure the seam is tight, smooth, and blends well with the rest of the surface.
• Cutouts for Sinks & Appliances: If the countertop includes custom cutouts for sinks, stovetops, or other appliances, our installer will double-check the measurements and fit before cutting. After cutting, our installer will smooth and finish the edges of these cutouts.
• Edge Polishing: Any edge profiles (bullnose, beveled, ogee, etc.) will be polished to achieve the desired finish, whether that’s a smooth, glossy look or a more matte, honed finish.
• Caulking & Sealing: Gaps between the countertop and wall or backsplash are sealed with caulk to ensure a tight fit and prevent water damage. Additionally, if required (e.g., for granite or marble countertops), our installer may apply a sealer to protect the surface from stains or moisture.

Once the countertops are in place, our installer will do a final inspection to ensure everything is aligned, secure, and properly finished. This includes:

• Ensuring there are no gaps between the countertop and cabinets or walls.
• Polishing the surface (if necessary) to remove any marks or scratches from the installation process.
• Cleaning the countertop to remove any dust, debris, or installation residue.

Post-Installation Care & Instructions

After installation, our installer will provide you with detailed care and maintenance instructions for your new countertops. This is especially important for natural stone countertops, which may require sealing, or quartz countertops, which are typically low-maintenance but still need regular cleaning.

If you have natural stone (like granite or marble), our installer might recommend sealing it to protect the surface from stains and damage. Quartz and solid surface materials, on the other hand, usually don’t require sealing, but it’s important to keep them clean with mild soap and avoid harsh chemicals.

The final step in the process is a thorough cleanup. our installers will ensure that all tools and debris are removed from your home and that your new countertops are spotless and ready for use. At this point, you can enjoy your beautiful, newly installed countertops!
